The difference now is that the United States government is actively doing it to people. We aren’t discussing random people making anonymous posts. I spent a lot of time on DCUM circa 2021 pretty pissed about school closures as my SNs kid lost IEP services so I have my fair share of complaints about how the far left handled COVID in this area, but no, I didn’t read “frantic bleating” about having our government put unvaccinated people into camps. Could someone have suggested it? Perhaps, people say all sorts of crazy things on here. But it certainly wasn’t some widespread theme on DCUM to literally have our government snatch up the unvaxxed and lock them away. There was a one month period in 2022 when DC required people to show vax cards to dine indoors, but that met backlash and was lifted. Some private businesses decided to continue requiring masks or vax cards beyond that time, but that was a private establishment decision. The fact you are even trying to equate what is going on now with some offhand comments on an anonymous forum (which you haven’t even provided any links to) is completely ridiculous. MAGA is scraping the barrel to defend dear leader. |
