my boss is retiring

Anonymous
I've been with my company for over 5 years. He's been a very good person to me. I don't want to just sign the company card and call it done. I feel I should get him something specifically from me, but... what? He's retiring from work and plans to travel with his wife and family. He truly has everything he needs in life. Ideas? Anyone?

Does he have a hobby that he will have more time for now? Maybe a GC or book pertaining to that hobby with a heartfelt thank you note for all he has done. Or offer to take him to lunch one on one before he leaves, and still write a note?

I like the lunch idea. What kind of food does he like? When I left jobs, the lunches and time with people were the best.

He loves food. He's a real foodie, so the lunch idea is a good one.
