Where do I find out about local running races?

| It's been 20 years since I did much running, but I'm getting back into it. I don't want to do anything heroic, but it might be nice to try some 5K and 10K races again. When I was running, there was a local running newspaper. What is the best source of info on the internet for DC area races? |

runwashington.com
not every racing company is using active.com these days, so while it used to be the gold standard for finding races, you would miss many since there are now competitors to active. see you at the starting line! |

I agree with the previous poster. runwashington.com and also active.com.
I used to recommend racepacket.com but haven't seen much on there in recent years. you should also check your local Pacers store, but their races should be listed on runwashington. |
