| If so, how did you do it? |
| Dh hasn't found a job through linked in but this is something he just did. He saw a posting online then linked in with a former colleague at that company. Saw his former colleague was linked in with director of hr. So he sent hr director a note. Hr replied and asked him to send resume. We'll see what happens. |
| I have had recruiters contact me and interviews happen, but it did not lead to my job. BUt what I did do with my situation is use Linkedin to see the backgrounds of people in the company where we did talk about an offer. |
| My husband got a job through a lead from a previous co -worker. Think the contact was through linked in. |
| I have had people fish me out for jobs on LinkedIn. |
| Yes. Recruiter contacted me when I was not even looking for a job. It ended up being something I was interested in, and led to a new job. |
| Yes, it popped up as a "job you may be interested in." I applied (it was in a city to which we were interested in moving), interviewed, was hired and they paid for our relocation. |
| My DH was recruited through LinkedIn - it seems pretty typical these days. |
Exact same thing happened to me. |
How much of your information/employer did you post? I have almost 20 years of experience, but I haven't listed employer names or the full content of my jobs. |
If you hope to use LinkedIn to get recruited, like PPs did, or to get prospective employers more interested in you, I would strongly suggest filling those areas in. My husband has been interviewed and offered 3 separate jobs, all of which approached him after seeing his profile on LinkedIn. |
| OP here. I have past jobs and information about them filled in, but I just looked at my public profile and realized that I had my privacy settings set too high (non-contacts wouldn't be able to see my previous jobs). I lowered the settings, so hopefully now more recruiters will see my info/want to contact me. |
| Yes, I have been contacted several times over the years. |
