I know for a fact that there are 6 offers that were sent out to players from one particular club- most from the same team, which were sent end of April.
The "official" offers were sent last Tuesday, with 48 hours to accept or decline. But that same group wanted to see who they would be playing with, so last night there was a group of 10 girls meeting with the coach (confirmed as Denison Cabral) for training before committing.

Seems pretty silly to have this training session without whoever else has already committed- What are the DA team roster sizes? Why werent those that committed at this training session last night as well?

It's 6/7 from same team that were offered positions they were offered at least a month ago if not longer but not officially.
Now they're holding out which may put a link in that travel clubs tryouts this week

Who is holding out and you mean kink? why does it matter? it should be about girls getting better because of training, not because dead ringers are staying so your kid will be on a winning record team.

OP is an FCV parent who is worried that recruiting is not going well so needs to throw a jab at WS. Truth is that FCV younger teams are weak, they rely on recruiting and spring tryouts are not going well. FCV DA 04 is losing their best player to Loudoun ECNL. FCV 06 and 07 and 08 are bad teams with few players. They have to shuffle kids between teams. Nobody good is showing up to their tryouts.

Ive read majority of this thread- why are are most so quick to jump down someones throat? The assumptions that are being thrown around this thread are hilarious.

Im a Maryland parent that has nothing to do with any Virginia teams.
And if Spirit Maryland/Baltimore is just looking for a few more players to "round out there team" why were there 10 girls at the training last night, all that have offers but none have committed yet?

They are losing some good players. I'm not sure their best is going to Loudoun ECNL. I heard their best was going to McLean ECNL, and it was a coaching based decision.
