I have little, frosted cookies with peppermint shavings for DC's preschool class tomorrow. How do I (or the babysitter, really) get them to school in one piece? I have plates (both paper and regular), some tupperware, foil, and wax paper. Still, I can't figure out the surefire method . TIA!
Can you make a toothpick tent? Works for cakes.
Oh, sounds promising! With the wax paper? Foil? Or Saran Wrap?
Lay them flat in the freezer for 15-20 minutes. Then place them in zip lock bag and return to freezer. Right before you leave, pull them out of the freezer into a cooler and off to school. They should be good for about 30 minutes, unpack right when you get to school. Should defrost in 5 -7 minutes once on a plate.
Just put them on a cookie sheet with a rim and cover with foil or Saran. You could put an upside Dixie cup in the middle of the tray to keep the wrap off the cookies if needed.
