This is an odd topic, but does anyone know what to do when a teacher writes a mediocre/poor evaluation for a perfectly normal 5 yr old child. We are applying to some private schools and we are concerned about the evaluations that our son's teacher writes. Part of this is because the teacher is very very critical (general consensus-emphasizes the negatives, rarely says the positives). |
I thought parents are not supposed to see the evaluation, because they are sent directly from the teacher to the admissions office of the intended school ....
Anyway, it seems like there's not a whole lot you can do, unless there's a junior/assistant/tandem teacher who you could ask instead. |
Not supposed to, but many parents have seen them. Is it unwise to tell the prospective school that the teacher is quite critical? |
has your child taken any other classes? ask those teachers to send a rec in as well ie: letter. |
