I am planning to buy one but I am overwhelmed by the different models and brands. Recommendations and advice?
Kitchen-Aid. Get the pricier one where the bowl lifts up and down.
Love my kitchen aid. Use it weekly.
I agree-- KitchenAid. I burned out the motor on mine (on accident, but it was my fault) and they replaced it, no problem. Great company.
To the kitchen aid fans: artisan or professional?
First PP here. Same thing happened to me. Replaced mine too. Was my fault and I just took it to their authorized dealer near Skyline. Good as new and that was ages ago. |
Kitchen Aid. 19 years old and still used almost every day.
Kitchen Aid. No point looking at any other brands. Mine is probably 20 years old at this point, well used, and good as new. I'd get a neutral color (mine is white, but stainless or black works too). They last so long you don't want to get a trendy color you'll like less in 10 years.
Which kitchen Aid?
Mine is the professional. I originally got it (20 years ago), because the bowl was bigger.
Is the professional the only one where the bowl moves up and down, or does the artisan do that as well?
Breville or magimix. The kitchenaids are now cheap and don't last.
I have had my kitchen aid for almost 10 years now. I love it.
Make sure the bowl has a handle. Otherwise it is a PITA to pour from and clean. Mine has a handle and I was using one at someone else's house that didn't have one.
There's a KitchenAid mixer on Groupon today.
