Apple Pie -- cook from frozen or defrost?

After going apple picking in September I made a double-crust pie for Thanksgiving and froze it. It is not cooked. I know that I have the choice of either cooking the pie from frozen or of defrosting the pie first and then cooking it. Will the results be signficantly different depending on which method I choose? Which will come out better?
