Post a store or brand, and we’ll guess who shops there!

Admittedly, the Gap summary is me. The Civic is too small for family so we are in a Pilot.

I am also the GAP shopper with the Honda 🤣.

How about H & M

Agree. Fun, but also mean and mostly inaccurate.

I think we found the two Chico's shoppers!!!

Typing away in their voluminous animal print tunics and travel pants!

Wal Mart shopper. DH former military, served two years but moving around and you being the trailing spouse just wasn’t for you. Unfortunately DH last assignment was at the Pentagon, so here you are, stuck in Prince William County in the 3 BR TH that was just going to be temporary. Ugh. You’re on Zillow constantly checking on your hometown zip code for your dream home you could buy for less than this TH is worth.

You hate the dc area with ever fiber of your being - people here are snobby, materialistic and overly concerned with appearances. DC wear licensed character clothing, look forward to an annual Disney trip, Kings Dominion Halloween and your annual Christmas card where the whole family wears Mickey ears or Rudolph noses. Your DD wears an array of seasonal headbands and ripped tutus to school. DS always has a crew cut, just like Daddy!

You used to sell LulaRoe. Still knock around in old LulaRoe and rain pots to run errands. Chipped glittery nail polish. Drives a Kia.

Damn-- you are really good at this !

Does this exist anymore? I remember it was all the rage like 15 years ago and I wore their jeans but then the company went out of business?

Lucky Brand should be filed under the Marshall's shopper bit. Marshall's is the only place I know that carries it, and the items are always marked as "irregular"

Which is so sad, because they were a great brand back in the day.

Yes, you’re the second wife and you’re damn proud of it. Your husband, whom you call “Boo” privately because his name sounds so unbearably old to you that it physically hurts to say it, loves that you’re southern and damn proud of it. Alpha Delta Pi for life! It’s not for nothing that your bridesmaids all wore perfectly different sky blue dresses!

Anyway, your job is to be the second wife and you’re good at it and damn proud of it. The steps are just a skosh younger than you, so you play up the fun, and honestly Ashley is a leeeetle bit on the chunky side so you’re (quietly) teaching her the dieting and working out ropes. You won’t teach her about the darkest stuff, but you don’t want her to hit her senior year already pudgy.

Part of being awesomely wealthy and fun and damn proud of it is gifting well. You show up to dinners with a great bottle and sometimes a really fun monogrammed needlepoint bottle bag (not that you did it!), and if it’s too bright for Boo’s old friends’ tastes, well, you’re younger and way more fun than them. Fun is like your middle name, as is excess. Big hair, lots of it, lots of tan (from the pool, whenever possible), bright bright bright colors!!!! It’s not forced, you guys, it’s just fun to wear sparkles in the day time. You should try it.

Anyway, Boo is traveling a lot lately, and to the same places he took you when you were dating.

I love that Neiman Marcus is one stop shopping.

Boden

Larla is the consummate Anglophile - she has visited the UK not once but TWICE and loves Downton Abbey and The Crown. She even drinks tea! She is also quirky - lovably quirky, not annoyingly quirky. Larla wants everyone to know she wears imported European clothes and posts photos on Instagram of herself and her "littles", George and Caroline, sporting their Boden. Larla has gotten in several internet rumbles with moms stanning Hanna Andersson.

Spot on. I just got my Boden catalog in the mail (old school, of course) and was reminded of how British it is -- albeit in a totally retro way. My mother was British and almost everything in the Boden catalog looks like something she would have worn in the early-mid 1960s. I miss seeing my cousins in London and can't wait to travel to the UK once again when the pandemic is over.

Not from a big city, but "made it" in DC by marrying a similarly situated political consultant, lobbyist, or "man about town." Now does everything by the book -- lives in Spring Valley, is eyeing Beauvoir for her 2 children, and wants to project an image of "young and up-and-coming DC society dame" (if over a certain age, tried to befriend Sally Quinn). Figures looking "preppy" is the way to go. Tuckernuck is in Georgetown (chic! prestigious!) and her friends in the neighborhood all speak well of it -- an item from there is PERFECT for the casual charity wine night they plan to do. Makes sure to wear her Tuckernuck cap to SoulCycle and to take a picture with the instructor afterwards proclaiming front-row status (podium if she's lucky) and then posting a boomerang story with a caption about how "blessed" she is to have her "Soul fam" (#soulpeoplearethebestpeople!) with the logo of her extremely expensive car prominently displayed on the steering wheel. Already secured Insta handles for her kids when they were in the womb. Thinks Millie's the a place to "see and be seen."

Yes -- uniform is "Boho/Vineyard" print top with shirttail hem, white ankle-length skinny jeans, big hoops and medallion necklace (or Kendra Scott), top-handle bag -- possibly woven.

U of Richmond graduate, attended OOS from Northern NJ.
Made her debut in the waning years of a now defunct Winter Ball.

Mom was a Sweet Briar graduate and influenced Larla’s college choice. Mom’s plan was for U of R to get Larla back to the South and use college as a Southern Finishing School.

College was a jumble of tailgates, fraternity parties and sometimes, classes. “Wearing Lily” was her college hobby. Dorm and desk decor was all Lily (planner, phone cover, bulletin board). Married months after Tripp (met him at Shockoe Bottom) completed law school. Quit work as a kindergarten teacher after first baby girl, Ainsley was born.

Fancies herself a modern day Jackie O. Still wears sleeveless,
loud, busy printed Lily dresses even though these make her appear wider than she really is and shows her prematurely sun damaged skin. Still sunbathes and tells herself she needs the Vitamin D. Grown out blonde highlights. Learned to say “y’all” but never lost the Jersey accent.

Insists that Ainsley says “ma’am” and “sir” to adults but calls all female adults Miss First Name. Ainsley was bow trained by a year! Grandma sends hand smocked themed dresses for darling Ainsley every occasion. Baby brother who’ll be The Fourth but with a random nickname like Winn will wear smocked John Johns, saddle shoes with white knee socks. May or may not have a bowl cut by age 3.

I'm 50 and can remember meeting these women 20 years ago when we moved to DC. They still exist? Extraordinary.
