So, just because you're from Scranton, even though you were probably one of the richest kids in Scranton, that makes you "one of the people." GTFOH with that crap. Joe has that "drinks scotch and plays golf all day with Union leaders and heads of corporations that he grifts money from" vibe. No thank you.

And Trump sucks, for the record. I just don't like poseurs.

Biden’s father didn’t own the car dealership, his father worked at the car dealership. It wasn’t in Scranton, it was in Delaware. They had to leave Scranton for Delaware because there were no jobs in Scranton. And Joe Biden does not drink scotch or any other kind of alcohol.

First PP, sounds like you're the poseur, spouting a bunch of stuff that isn't true.

Sorry, made a mistake. His father was a sales manager at a Scranton car dealership and used to go yachting. Joe acts like his Dad was punching a clock in a steel factory.

“While Mr. Biden has described his early youth as stable and relatively carefree, his father suffered a number of business reversals, and for several years when Joe Jr. was young the Bidens were forced to move in with his mother’s parents, the Finnegans, in their modest home on North Washington Avenue in Scranton.

Though Scranton was sharing in the postwar economic boom, Joe Sr. had trouble finding steady work, and nothing that measured up to his previous success. For a time, he commuted to Wilmington to clean boilers for a heating and cooling company. In 1953, he moved the family there.”

+1 Why is the first PP such a liar?

When your father is a blue collar worker a newspaper doesn’t describe his pitfalls in life as “business reversals.” You don’t go sailing on yachts at any time in your life, especially in the economically stratified early 20th Century, if you’re a blue collar worker. His Dad was obviously a blue blood from a wealthy family who lost his standing in society because of alcohol abuse, but even with his alcoholic history he was able to have a job as a sales manager at a car dealership. My point is is that he trumpets his “blue collar” upbringing, but I don’t know many blue collar Dad’s who go yachting or are auto dealership sales managers.

Would you agree that someone who cleans boilers is blue collar?

Is that your argument against Biden - that he didn't grow up poor? I think there are plenty of ways to attack him but that one probably isn't a winner. He's just been around too long for that sort of thing.

We aren't trying to figure out WHO is this new guy on the scene and is he who he says he is - Biden has a record going back decades. Don't be so lazy in your attacks, if you're trying to undermine him. Come on. It just makes you look bad.

I wonder if the media will look into the whole Ukraine thing and his involvement in having a prosecutor fired who was investigating a firm his son has ties to.............

Even the pro-Dem NYT is not about hiding some news when they can help sell papers and get clicks...

How do you know about this if the media hasn’t looked into it? And if they actually have, care to link something?

Didn't you hear the part that his father is a "failed capitalist"? A failed capitalist is very much middle class and Biden certainly didn't grow up rich even if his father had for a brief time enjoyed success.

Biden's father used to go yachting before drinking himself into a sales manager position at a car dealership and then all the way to cleaning boilers. His Dad was a upper-crust drunk who drank his way down the socioeconomic ladder.

He might have "cleaned boilers" for a brief time but when you're dad is the sales manager at an auto dealership and used to go yachting you are not some "working class," "blue collar," "average Joe." My point is not that his background disqualifies him and I need someone who has an authentic working class background to vote for, but that one of his selling points that he constantly makes is how he had such a salt-of-the-earth working class background. Biden always struck me as a smarmy, insincere fraud who's gained a lot from this "white working class" act that he puts on, which is a bunch of BS.

Elizabeth Warren and Bernie, to name a few, actually had working class backgrounds and they come through as authentic when they talk of it.

Well, well. What do you know? The NY Times finally picked up the story.

Of course, in true NYTimes fashion, they blame Trump for bringing up the story.

Lol. In May of 2019 the NYT runs this story. How courageous. What groundbreaking journalism.

Threads colliding. This is why Barr was not willing to say whether someone in the White House suggested that he start an investigation?
