You must think MIT is unhealthy place as well and that it should be eliminated.

I have a feeling you didn't go to college in this country or you wouldn't have said something that ridiculous. Do you know the difference between high school and college in this country? The college experience is completely different academically and socially.

I attended, elementary, middle, high schools, college, graduate school and law school in the US. Is that enough?

Then why on Earth would you compare MIT to TJ? Do you think the two experiences are that similar?

I think the experiences are similar in that both focuses on STEM education and both are supposedly very challenging academically.

Ok, and given these similarities, I think it would then be absolutely harder to manage this kind of academic rigor in high school. Do you agree?

And, on an age-adjusted basis TJ is more challenging that MIT. It also does not include any morons that get into MIT because their parents bought their way in.

If the selection was purely merit-based then there would be a lot more TJ grads at MIT. That's a FACT. Reality is that they need to appease all the idiots out there and dilute their standards..

Most years, TJ sends more grads to MIT than any HS in the nation. Fact is, in creating a diverse class, they can’t have 200 kids from the same HS.

The reason is irrelevant. It's still only 10.

"I recall a lot of my MIT classmates were from Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology (referred to as TJ) and Stuyvesant High School."

"I remember meeting a ton of people from TJ. We had 10 people get in my year, 8 people went (Torrey Pines High School in san diego)."

This makes no sense. So you're saying MIT is now diluted?!!!

Of course it is diluted. Otherwise, the racial diversity should be similar to that of TJ but it’s not. Do you know Cal tech in CA? That college doesn’t have a quota system in admission, and its racial diversity is almost the same as TJ.

Because facts matter. Cal tech is 43% Asian. TJ is 70% Asian

Okay dumbass, you also need to recognize that Fairfax county has over 17% asian population while in the whole U.S., the Asian concentration is only about 5%.
You're a typical anti-intellectual who has no critical thinking ability. No wonder you're a TJ hater.
