Proof i set this up on google voice and no calls have been made with it yet |
That's what I said they should do, but the teacher was outraged at the idea that health care workers would call in due to losing child care. |
Hospitals don’t close. That’s kind of the entire point of them. |
Sure it is, Tom. |
I'm glad that parents know to use trusted people or licensed providers for their child care needs instead of random numbers posted anonymously on DCUM? |
I'm sorry. Just trying to help people during a difficult time. Whatever. I'm getting paid and don't need childcare so I hope we are out the rest of the week if not longer |
You aren’t helping others by using them as a talking point. We are not paid this week. |
Our next door neighbor is a doctor and had to be at an early shift on Monday morning when roads weren’t cleared much. He had to shovel his car away from snow berms on the road at points but he made it. I’m sure his patients were grateful. |
Which hospital has closed? That’s really not a thing that they do… |
Presumably the PP is a teacher, who would be getting paid this week. |
Absurd. We all know shoveling a car out of the snow is effectively impossible. That's what the teachers told us, at least. |
SO you think MCPS should go, X school is clear, it can have daycare, ad Y school is clear so MS students there can go back, and then Z is not clear so that HS should have classes online, and A ES school and its neighborhoods are clear so those kids can go back to school.? A single business opening vs a school district with 200+ schools, across four levels, that also has to be worried about transportation and kids/families walking, not to mention various ages of infrastructure. These are not the same things. |
Correct, but they also don't necessarily expect that everyone will be there. They evaluate the conditions and then plan for what will happen. For instance whether elective or non-emergent procedures will be rescheduled. The plan for less staff. The also have things like generators, and beds for staff to sleep if needed. |
You still haven't explained why child care providers should be prohibited from opening. |
| If childcare providers could open but chose not to, how would you respond? |
