Big difference between eliminating IB and starting it at a new school. Parents in this area have made it clear they would prefer AP. I cannot imagine with all the pushback and pupil placement with this that they would make it an iB school. |
It's good to know we'll get a new high school with the "separate entries and play spaces" for high school students. We'll need to see exactly what types of modifications are required, and how much it will cost on top of the advertised price. |
Do you have any idea how obnoxious you sound? |
Bad news, guys. Other high schools in the county don’t have swimming pools, so this one will likely be filled in with concrete.
Thank equitable access to programs for that. |
Falls Church HS has a swimming pool on the other side of the football stadium. (It’s part of the recreation center.) |
Crap, we need to fill that one in too. Thanks for flagging the inequity. If not everyone can have a pool at their school, then no one can have a pool. |
Because what this country needs is more Starbucks employees with six-figure college debt. |
The Arlington high schools have swimming pools to which public access is provided. They attract a lot of pervs. |
The pool is in Providence Rec Center. Not FCHS. That’s like saying there’s a pool at Spring Hill ES. |
Bingo. |
This would be a good time to add an AAP center at Franklin and give Carson some nice clean feeder boundaries to the new HS. |
30-35 kids won’t fit |
Though beautiful, the school was built for a different purpose. For example, it’s symmetrical with a boys side and a girls side. Renovations will be needed. |
I suppose freshmen and sophomores could go on one side. Or perhaps one side could be science and tech labs. Or reconfigured for an academy. I can’t imagine the school would need more than 50 million of upgrades (which accounts for tarrifs). I do hope they keep the pool and lush courtyards. What great student and community amenities |
In see that the average class size at KAA is 20 students. I wonder if they would have to reconfigure the inside to expand physical classroom sizes? |
