Lunch in Vienna or Tyson's Corner area?

Anonymous
I am meeting a friend for lunch on a Thursday around 1 pm. He is coming from MD I am coming from VA and looking at the map, it looks like a good half way point would be around Tyson's Corner. I know there are a lot of good lunch options there, but there is also so much construction right now, I'd rather not deal with it. I was wondering if there is anything good for lunch near Nutley St. in Vienna?

Would that area be a better choice, traffic/construction wise? I'm from the far out Virginia suburbs, and don't really go into DC or anywhere near the beltway on weekdays.

My restaurant criteria would mainly be
-not too expensive (not looking to spend more than $20 per person to include soft drink/main course/tax and tip)
-hassle free parking (on a time crunch and don't want to spend hours looking for a spot)
-Not really into Asian (Indian, Korean, etc.) food so much. I'm thinking more Italian, Mexican, generic "American" (burgers, sandwiches, etc.)

If you have any suggestions, I'd love it! Thanks!

OP here, thanks!

i just checked it out on yelp and noticed the first few reviews mention that you should make reservations...do you think that is necessary for lunch?

Plaka Grill for great greek.

Clyde's. It's by itself on the fringes of Tysons, has plenty of parking right out front, and good food.

Alegria for Mexican on Church Street, the Greek Grill for Greek and Italian. Cava Grill and BGR Burgers are located next to American Girl Doll on the exterior of the Tysons Corner mall - parking is pretty easy during the day. PF Chang's in the Galleria Mall has lunch specials for well under $20 pp.

You absolutely need reservations there for lunch. They only have like 5 or 6 tables.

It's expensive, though. You will be close to your $20/head if not over.

you MUST make reservations at MAple ave. restaurant. It's a tiny place and they can't accomodate more than about 6 people at a table. the food is AWESOME and fresh and amazing. I think it's one of the best in the DC area.

The food at Clyde's has sucked for 25 years. Avoid.
