When I flipped to the news channel, my young kid asked "Do we have to watch Roc O'Rama?" DC was very disappointed that I changed the channel from Nick Jr.

The orange tone is used to make him seem more aggressive/lively. Like when gore wore earth tones to seem more masculine and natural.
