You should ask the administrator to see if its one person more multiple posting. We all know its one person that loves to cheat.

No, it doesnt matter.

They just want to scream the loudest.

It will be fun watching them freak out when Aug birthdays arent allowed to play down next season.

My kids bday is in December 2011 8th grade there are an Aug/Sept 2011 on her team that are 9th already.

It doesn’t effect my kid either way but my daughters coach who’s the 11 and 12 team coach has already told all 3 girls and parents they will join his 11/12 ECNL team next year.

Next Spring or Next season? My kid's coach told all Q3/Q4 the same thing, but she did not remember Next "What".

He said next year which to me was next fall. I did not ask follow up questions to the extent. My daughter does not want to play 2012 next spring anyways want to finish with her friends one last season.

It depends on when your school district starts. If it starts in 8/1 then what the coach said makes sense.

It will be interesting to see if they stick with this placement for next season when/if theres a player playing down a grade. In this situation the coach is taking a player playing in the correct grade and forcing them to play on an incorrect grade team. Most clubs wont do this because it will screw the player when theyre older and recruiting for college.

No one is going to police what grade someone is in and what age they were allowed to start school. In Virginia you can start school as long as you turn 5 before 9/30. Under this nonsense proposal should all August and September birthdays in Virginia be required to play up instead of with their age cohort?

So though no fault of the player clubs are going to screw them into playing on a grade down team. Which will result in them being unrecruitable when theyre older

If they don’t want to play on a team with mostly the grade below they can always find a new team. That means playing up if they are able at club A or club B.

Most kids will play with their age group.

Some just want to play in the top league when possible. College recruiting is a 2nd thought. That is why you have so many biobanding players play 2 grades down to cheat, because they cannot play in MLS team in their own age group.

You really need to stop with the bionanding hate. These players dont want to be biobanded. Its a last ditch effort to stay on a top team to maybe play professionally. The net is that they want to play professionally.

You're arguement that players should be able to play down because they dont want to play in college is just dumb. If you don't care about playing in college play on the B team. More specifically the B team thats your grade. Don't take a younger players opportunity to play in college from them just because you're greedy and selfish.

Coaches and Clubs will step in and not allow this. They know that eventually players playing down a grade will need to play with their grade to get recruited. They're going to need to address the issue when players are young or address the issue when players are older. Addressing an issue like this when players are older is much more difficult then when they're young.

What is don't understand is how they think they'll be able to choose to play on a younger team. Coaches and DOCs define rosters not parents.

They'll just shop around going from younger coach to younger coach looking for someone that will let them play down.

Its the same thing the GY parents do with holdbacks. They'll just keep looking around for whatever league will let them play an older player on a younger team. Once they find someone that allows it they'll tell each other on social media and suddenly there will be all kinds of holdbacks on teams.

Its the same thing private school parents do. Its the same thing home schoolers do. etc etc etc

And it's OK! They're doing what's best for them and their kid. And no need to worry about GY, because that's not allowed under the new system.

By best for them do you mean by screwing a player the correct grade out of a roster spot and minutes because you wont play on the B team with players your grade?

But then you're maybe taking away time from a kid on the older team from the C squad OR other worthy B team players. Just stick to age. It's simpler that way. Leave the rest up to the parents to worry about anything else.

Ridiculious, nobody has issues with players playing on the correct grade B team.

Of course, there are no issues when the team has players who are either there by age OR ability. But what you propose to do by grade would be wrong.

Playing up to play on the 2nd team and won't happen. If you can't be in the top 4-5 of the top team one year up, you would play on age. As it has always been.

It will totally happen. Nobody cares who plays on the B team.

What are you talking about? Some B teams play at the highest level, too, OR at the league right below -- which still allows opportunities to be recruited. Depending on the club, these teams often aren't easy to make.
