Convection oven

How does a convection oven cook food faster or better? We are looking at getting a new range and wondering if we should get convection oven. I do bake a lot and cook dinners at least 5/6 days a week, so the oven does get used a lot. Also how would I know to change the baking times when using a convection oven for a regular recipe?

It cooks in about 2/3 of the time of a normal oven. Models like Electrolux will convert the temp for you, so you just set it at the recipes temp it does the rest. It also let you change between conventional and convection oven.

I don't find it cooks faster but it does work better for meats and baking - things are much more moist. I really like ours. We got a cheap one.
