"athletic build" for 40 year guy means that you used to play football or soccer 20 years ago and now you're just chunky? you like to call it "muscle", huh?

Exactly what I was thinking, except maybe "used to wrestle in High School, and maybe a little in college" but is probably pushing 300lbs now.

I sometimes think Michael Kelly from House of Cards is hot:

I know I'm going out on a limb here, and forgive me, but I thought James Gandolfini was sweetly sexy in the movie Enough Said:

So there you go, OP. Still, he's the exception, rather than the rule. I think his very gentle giant, sweet persona, intelligence, humor, and humility all combined to make him appear as a catch in that movie.

Ben Stiller looks good in this photo:

OP doesn't know the difference between athletic and dad-bod

Good lord, Julia Louis Dryfus is gorgeous, aged very well (and apparently very naturally).

OP, What does she sound like when this 66 year old is whispering in your ear?

I do the cooking, the running the kids around, the yard work, fix the cars, etc. Yet, she complains she has "no time" for herself.

I'm not fat, but neither do I have a body builders form. I'm functionally fit, meaning I have the strength and endurance to handle most of the physical demand of my daily life and to be healthy. That matters more t me than a chiseled bod.

Lovin' the role reversal here. You poor downtrodden male. LOLOL.

Hahahahahahahaha!!!!!!

- 41, gave birth, teach dance, run marathons, cook and clean, work a real job too and love my husband for not being so delusional to make a 'functionally fit' argument here, AYFKM?

A DH with a definite Dadbod here. All I can say is "well done, ladies". And FWIW, my 51YO DW still looks hot -- though I imagine it helps that my eyesight ain't what it used to be and my testosterone levels peaked in the 1980s.

Both of the pics of Chris Pratt.

He has mentioned that he fears he will become fat again.
