Another delusional HC booster.

Smith indeed might not be in the top 20. But it is better than HC. What does that tell you?

I would give the edge to HC over Mount Holyoke, though.

For the class of 2027 Smith received 9,800 applicants and admission rate of 19%. For the class of 2029 Smith had 8,100 applicants and admission rate of 21-22%. Don’t see a lot of females flocking to Northampton. HC keeps growing its application and they have more upside. Colgate had a drop of 3,000 applications for class of 2029.

Again, HC is giving application waivers left and right and there is no supplemental essay, so there's that. Sounds like Northeastern's tactics if you ask me.

Is this the HC admissions office speaking?

Holy Cross is known for being pre-professional. Lots of doctors, dentists, and lawyers. Know several of them.

I love how this thread just won’t die. Keep it up and stay strong HC boosters (and haters too)!

HC is perhaps the most unique SLAC. Largest enrollment at 3,300, Division1 sports, Jesuit affiliation, not in the middle of nowhere. Finally a great successful alumni network. Can’t go wrong with Holy Cross.

Not the largest SLAC. Bucknell is 3,800.

Wesleyan at 3,800 too

^^PP is technically correct as HC is strictly liberal arts and no grad school. Bucknell and Wesleyan are both universities offering masters degrees. Both Bucknell and Wesleyan offer engineering while Holy Cross doesn’t.

Regarding the above, please note that Wesleyan does not have an engineering major.

You need to get over this college vs. university gobbledygook. I guess BC isn’t a university? You are like a grammar pedant who can’t write.

OK. Let”# talk about the color purple. It’s nice. More schools should do it. But even if 5hey did, they would be a purple-pale imitation of Holy Cross. Go Crusaders!

HC is arguably the second best Catholic school in the country excluding Georgetown which downplays its Catholic heritage. ND has way too much money $18 billion but Holy Cross has 2nd largest endowment per student among the Catholic schools. HC alumni network is better than ND. Their new President is amazing. Their football team is winless 0-6. HC alums are highly visible, not too many SLACs do better. Top5-10 for grad success.
