I’d rather listen to Kendrick Lamar than Birds of a Feather. That song just feels so lazy.

Kendrick’s song is garbage.

Where was Gracie Abrams nomination for Best New Artist? Or Charlie Xcx? Where was Ariana Grande for album, song?

Good Luck, Babe! is Song of the Year. Or Birds Of a Feather.

Gracie Abrams sounds exactly like Taylor Swift- I find it creepy. Ariana Grande’s song sucks. I’d rather Good Luck Babe! Won song of the year- or Espresso. That being said Birds of a Feather is lazy writing- from the lyrics to the performance.

Everyone’s song was better than Kendrick’s.

I love Fortnight - both the song and her beautiful, artsy video. It was my most streamed song and album of 2024. I like Shaboozey too, his song is such a bop.
That said, Chappell or Billie should have won for Song of the Year.

No wonder we are stuck with deplorable Trump for 4 more years. The left’s wokeness has no end or boundaries, as evidenced by tonight’s Grammys.

Signed, a registered Democrat who isn’t deaf and brainwashed.
Indeed. Mostly undeserving winners tonight getting rewarded for music that is crap.

But it teaches a bunch of impressionable kids the n-word is fine, so we’ll be guaranteed endless controversy when White Chad and Asian Becky from Whitman and Churchill sing Kendrick Lamar lyrics out loud on a bus.
Music that is complete crap getting the awards, swearing on stage, embarrassing nudity…
And then you have the circus in the White House.
Neither the Grammy winners nor the president can string a complete sentence.
It’s a shame to be an American in this day and age.
The rest of us have better things to do than watch bad award shows.

Maybe they handed out these awards this year because who knows how political climate will be next.

Agree. stupidest song ever.

Cowboy Carter has 56 writers in its credits. Imagine needing 56 writers to create a few songs 🤦‍♀️
In contrast, Billie Eilish wrote the entire album with just her brother.

Birds of a Feather has 300 million more streams than all of the songs on Beyoncé’s album combined.

It's not the People's Choice Awards.

Let's hope the better music wins next year. As in better I mean what you can actually listen too. And maybe the N word should actually be banned from entering.

You would think dcum would be here for Lamar's pettiness in bringing Drake down.

INTERESTING. This is not what I was expecting. Minimal jewlery.

That T On her upper thigh tho 👀

It's like a rosary, there's a whole chain and it's... kinda cute, actually?

Yes I love it! But generally I love unusably uses of jewelry like a necklace threaded around an arm.

My 16-year old is a LONG-time Kendrick fan. He's been into hip-hop since he was little. Loved to see him subtly pimping Drake in his "Canadian Tuxedo". He's a funny guy.

He is going to his concert this summer--xmas present.

NOT---so sick of the same poppy whiny music

Kendrick Lamar won the Pulitzer Prize in music in 2018. The Pulitzer Prize website called DAMN. "a virtuosic song collection unified by its vernacular authenticity and rhythmic dynamism that offers affecting vignettes capturing the complexity of modern African-American life."

It's the first time in the prize's history that it has been given to an artist outside of the classical or jazz community.

every single person in the Grammy audience was singing out 'A Minor' when he approached the stage. That song was song of the summer---at least those that can see outside of the teeny Swift pop music.

Kendrick Lamar and his family lived in Section 8 housing, were reliant on welfare and food stamps, and experienced homelessness.

In school, Lamar was a quiet and observant student who excelled academically and had a noticeable stutter. His first grade teacher at Robert E. McNair Elementary School encouraged him to become a writer after she heard him correctly use the word "audacity". In middle school, Lamar was introduced to poetry by his English teacher, Regis Inge. Inge integrated the literary form into his curriculum as a response to the growing racial tensions amongst his students. Through its connection to hip hop, Lamar studied rhymes, metaphors and double entendres, which made him fall in love with songwriting: "You can put all your feelings down on a sheet of paper, and they'd make sense to you. I liked that." Instead of completing assignments for other classes, Lamar would scribe lyrics in his notebooks.[19] His initial writing was entirely profane, but it helped him manage his psychological trauma and depression, which he struggled with during his adolescence.[19][20] Inge played a vital role in his intellectual growth, often critiquing his lexicon and suggesting prompts to strengthen his prose.

He graduated from high school in 2005 as a straight-A student. He considered studying psychology and astronomy in college, but suspended his academic pursuits to focus on his music career.

He is king of double entendres! Smart, witty.
