Beyoncé’s husband Jay Z accused of raping 13 yo girl with Diddy

Anonymous
Wasn’t he negotiating with her before it went public? Why negotiate if innocent? When you lay down with fleas….
Anonymous
It’s possibly they didn’t know the girl was 13…she probably looked older. That’s what my guess is. She probably presented like 16-17. Jay Z loves 16 year olds… that was probably how old Beyoncé was.

When it rains it pours.

Why doesn’t he just confess and plead mercy?

These sex predators are all thick as thieves.

They all go wayyyyy back.

If OP hadn’t clarified that, we would have had ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA who she was talking about

Beyonce is far more of a household name, especially to DCUM housewives and boomers.

You seem really out of touch. What part of being a housewife keeps someone from knowing who Jay-Z is lol

40, 50 and 60-something white, Asian and Indian women who have never listened to rap music are unlikely to know who the hell Jay Z is.

Speak for yourself. I am an Indian woman and I knew who Jay-Z was before this lawsuit even if I haven't heard any of his songs.

seriously, my white mom is in her 80s and knows who Jay-Z is. I'm in my 40s and my friends of various races all listened to him when in the early 2000s.

+1 There is usually something attractive about everyone's physical appearance but not him.

Maybe his attractiveness lies in the the parts unseen. Just a thought! Oh and he’s a billionaire.

There is so much billionaires can get away with. If they can by elections, buying low level law enforcement or witnesses is small potatoes. In India, people's drivers have to take blame for them if they kill anyone while driving fast under influence or servants take blame if there are any allegations of rape or murder. I hope its not that easy here.

exactly, where were her parents?

This is a re-filing or an amendment of a previously filed lawsuit and I read the original when it came out. In 2000, this 13 yr old who lived in or near NYC got a ride to Radio City Music Hall to try to crash the VMAs because she didn’t have a ticket. She’s a local. She tried to literally walk in but was denied so she started asking all the limo drivers of the limos parked in front if they could get her in and she happened to speak with Combs driver.

That driver said he couldn’t get her into the VMAs but what he could do was get her into Combs after party if she wanted and she said sure, got in the limo and he drove her out to Combs house where they were started the party. She said she drank some alcohol, started to feel bad and went into a room to lay down. That’s where Combs and perhaps Jay Z found her, etc.

What happened after the attack was that she was able to flee the house NAKED, a driver outside gave her some clothes and a ride to a gas station where she went inside, asked to use their phone and called her father. There were not cell phones back then.

It’s a horrible story. Sounds like a teen who impulsively tried something a bit nuts without her parents permission and it spiraled out of control and without cell phones or tracking she could call for help and no one knew where she was.

Why wasn’t Jay Z charged with a crime in 2000?

Shame and confusion. The girl was drunk and didn’t know if she consented or not and probably self doubt and blame and didn’t want her parents angry and freaked out at her for sneaking out to a party at 13.

Women that are raped rarely report it the day after because the process of getting a rape kit and going to court and having family aware is all dehumanizing and perturbing.

We do need a better system. We can’t prove 25 years later that she’s telling the truth or lying. Any forensics are long gone. All we have is her story and his story and the truth.

I am prone to believe her though because 1999 VMA after party is a very specific location and the driver of Diddy’s can also be confirmed as well if he’s still living.

Surely her father would have noticed his naked daughter when he picked her up from the gas station and called the police.

Called the police? Have you ever dealt with the police? I have, including for sexual assault and stalking and they're about the least helpful people you could reach out to in a moment of crisis. I'm a wealthy, white WASP too I can't even imagine the fear with anyone with "complicating factors."

Well I’m not a wealthy, white wasp, and yes I’ve called the police when I was assaulted. GtFOH with your BS. I have a report. That’s the least a father could do when he finds his daughter half naked, claiming a sexual assault. Did he take her to the hospital to make sure she was okay. A rape swab. A prescription for a morning after pill. The nerve to think a parent would not do that near minimum. Surely there’s some evidence that this actually happened and it’s not a free for all money grab.

Not saying it did happen, but I’m not saying or convinced it did happen. It’s like people who jump on a metro bus after a collision and claim they were hurt in the collision and want a quick payout. Yet these people were no where around when the collision happened and real victims were hurt.

Were you actually an adult in 1999? The morning after pill only got approved by the FDA two months before the 1999 VMAs. You think dad was tracking that recent availability? I think there was also even more stigma then for girls/women about sexual assault (still is, of course).

Buzbee aka “Mr. $10 billion collected.” is exploiting a certain demographic to line his pockets.

“There were a number of inconsistencies between the details shared by Doe in his interview with CNN and the original complaint filed in October. The original suit says the assault took place in 2006, not 2007, and that Doe had never been married. In 2006, Combs’ White Party was held in St. Tropez; in 2007, it was held in the Hamptons, which is where Doe’s allegations take place. After CNN pointed out the discrepancies, Doe’s attorneys filed an amended complaint with the court, changing those details and acknowledging mistakes were made in the rush to file.”

I have no idea if this story is true. No one does. Waiting to file for over 15 years is suspicious. Not calling the cops at the time is suspicious.

You and I know that lawyers get clients to lie for the money grab all the time.

Again, I have no idea what is true. Let a jury hear the evidence, but I do not understand why people are so willing to just assume facts in a complaint from a notorious ambulance chaser are true.

And I hate Diddy and Combs and that whole genre for lots of reasons. lyrics, etc.

And we all know that many women went to these parties and knowingly took drugs and had sex, to be around celebrities. Like the old rock and roll groupies. I am offended at attempts to now cash in. (I am not talking about underage girls; clearly they should not be allowed at parties).

I feel bad for the women that are actually raped and abused.

I find it ironic the attorney's last name is Buzzbee and Beyonce's fanbase is called the Beyhive and her nickname is Bee.

Oh, and the lawyer is from Houston.

Any time there is a chance of getting money, people come out of the woodwork to file cases or try and get their slice of the pie or their 15 minutes of fame. Means a lot of shifting through to see what is real and what is just opportunistic. Doesn't mean there aren't also real cases - just that not every case that hits the media is real.

How do you prove rape 24 years down the line? The girl snuck out and lied about being older to get in. How do you prove he slept with her, and how do you prove he was aware she was 13? If she was at a nightclub or afterparty, he likely assumed she was of age. This is similar to the Matt Gaetz story. The woman he slept with had a fake Florida ID. How would he have known she was 17? This is why the DOJ dropped the charges against him because technically if the girl lied, there is no way the man wouldve known.

Best practices would be abandoning one night stands altogether to avoid this, and this is something we should be teaching to all our sons yet it's never taught.
