I dont feel like this event damaged "the black community" in any way. Will open-hand slapped Chris like a sissy-- this was humiliating but not "black on black violence." |
The NYT has a way to side with violent aggressors. They even supported Hitler for a while. Makes you wonder if it is some kind of displacement. |
The. End. |
They are public figures and it is fine to poke fun at them. This is not what Congress is legislating about obviously. |
I didn't think it was that funny. I laughed when he said his ex is as rich as he is, "and she aint even funny!". But otherwise agree with PP, the Lola thing was funny and the end was good. Otherwise I felt like I was waiting for it to start.
"I don't need another angry rapper" is funny. Also agree with him, "don't fight in front of white people" is (sadly) probably good advice. One final thought, imagine if Billy Crystal slapped Robin Williams (or vice versa) years ago because one joked about the other's wife's hair. Would people really side with the slappER and not the slapped. |
+1 |
Because white people will get you killed. For nothing. Or next-to. |
Why don't these geniuses get pre nups, and After 18 years and him cheating his ex DESERVED half. |
Thought it was funny that no one remembered who Robert Kardashian was, based on the audience non reaction and Chris explaining it. |
Black folks who complain about white-on-black violence but condone black-on-black violence when it suits them are a special sort. #SHAME |
I think seeing a certain segment condone the slap, and that has been consistent, is damaging and disgusting. |
+1. Who are all these people asking Rock to be the bigger person. Why should he be? So he can look like a loser who gets hit and then doesn’t even have the nerve to hit back in his own way? Will and Jada put their drama out there. I have no idea why Will feels like he needs to put up with all this, but he does. He should have left her ages ago and could be happy with someone who treats him well. I am certain that if you casually met Will and Chris, Will would likely be warm and nice. Chris would be the sarcastic negative person he is. But that’s not what this is about. |
I would not have said his set was misogynistic. But I started wondering if I am so used to misogyny that I don't recognize it anymore...
Questioning whether what he said about Jada would be received the same way if Jada was white is worth considering. What would I think if he spoke that way of a famous white woman? Taylor Swift, Nicole Kidman, etc. Also, he said he wanted to F-- Doja Cat. I found that creepy. He's an old man. At the end, he seemed full of real rage. He listed so many people and said they called Will a B---. Chris messed his lines up and said "Emancipation" instead of for "Concussion" is pretty lame. Is it true she wasn't even invited to the Oscars that year yet said she was boycotting?? She shouldn't be telling people how to run their careers. She should mind her own business. Chris also has a point about how most cheaters don't interview the person they cheated on...Jada interviewed Will on her show. Pretty gross of her. What he said about his daughter was shocking. I like that he reassured us she is okay now, but I think it's messed up that he said his ex and daughter wouldn't know about what he did until they watched the Netflix special. I can't imagine being his kid and reading in the papers that my dad had me kicked out of school. OTOH, I don't disagree that his daughter was spoiled and needed to learn a lesson. I'm conflicted about that one! He took responsibility for spoiling his kids yet then told the story about how his child was spoiled so he got her kicked out of school...and then talked about how she's in Paris (spoiled yet again) to study cooking. He seems conflicted himself with having so much money. Also, cry me a river that he had to split $$ with his wife. That's what you get, you insecure cheater. |
Id love to hear his ex wife clap back. |
I don't like that he attacked Meghan Markle out of nowhere. She didn't do anything to him. Also, the abortion jokes were not funny. I do not care what other people do ... but whether they have an abortion or not, it is their business ... not a comedian's. I used to think Rock was really funny. Now, he just seems old and angry. (And, I'm old...67 ...but not so angry) |
