Is it okay to buy/wear Balenciaga given the controversy related to children? They have apologized.

Has enough time passed? Will people start buying Balenciaga again? What are your thoughts? Immediately when I see the brand negativity comes to mind for me.

I won't. They have built an aethestic around child exploitation. People can pretend this is high end, tongue in cheek art, like they did the art in Jeff Epstein's townhouse. A few short years ago, it was considered a conspiracy theory that Epstein exploited underage women. There is no conspiracy. There are sick people in this world, and some of them are rich. End of.

Oh my goodness. This needs a trigger warning. What is going on with this company?????

Is this actually real? My God, it’s horrifying if so. Do not click that link.

No it’s important people click and see exactly who they are dealing with.

Who are they dealing with? Does anyone even remember artists names after reading this garbage? What's the connection?

It's a Christie's auction from twelve years ago of work created thirty years ago. Jake and Dinos Chapman. The article is sensational and prurient.

The art is vile and lacking in humanity. So it follows that an article aboit it will be sensational.

Do you even care about Cristóbal Balenciaga tailoring and structural design?

My family is from Spain. The man was a fascist. You aren’t making the sales pitch you think you are.

Nope. And it's not even because of the ads, it's because of Kim Kardashian. She's disgusting and I won't buy from a brand that props her up.

I’m starting to see Balenciaga pop up in other topics within this forum ( 2/7/23). Has enough time passed? Is Balenciaga now wearable without controversy?
