Now, I realize this is typically a sign on menopause and aging....but I'm only 23!!!!
It's not a *tone* of them or anything, just kind of a few random ones every month or so.... I didn't notice anything on my chin though until after my chin was shattered on one side and they had to stitch it back together there... now I have these random coarser, black hairs growing from the thicker end of the scar where the stitches tied off... But I always thought scar tissue generally can't grow hair??? Nevertheless, I assume it has *something* to do with the sudden appearance of long chin hair growth after that? Thoughts? |
Congratulations.
You are becoming a witch. |
Haha, I've *been* a witch.... guess my body is just trying to look the part now! |
I would totally get that looked at. |
The hairs or the becoming a witch part? ![]() |
The hair growth is hormonal. I have been sprouting hairs since my 20s and I am not menopausal. I got laser hair removal in my late 20s before I had a baby and then I had a baby and my hormones changed and the hair started growing again. Sigh. |
I have this. Started getting it around age 28. I am a pretty hairy woman though so it wasn't surprising. Now I have a lot of hairs in both areas, more on the neck under the chin. I get the area waxed but it grows back so fast, in about 10 days. I pluck all the stray ones I can see. |
I found one in the middle of my chin which I had zapped with a laser. Now I have another one on the side of my chin. I just pluck it. They're the worst. My fear is not catching one some day and walking around like that. I don't think anyone will tell me. It's so lunch lady embarrassing. |
Can I get a response to how many people find a 1+inch long hair growing on their face that they didn't see? This is happening to me and as I grow older I am finding it harder to spot them until, voila, there it is. And someone must have noticed it...how embarassing! |
I have on hair on my neck. It is random. It seems to grow underneath the skin, hidden, and then all of a sudden pops out about a quarter inch long. I pluck it. |
It could be a hormonal imbalance.

DD keeps finding very fine, blonde hairs in random places. By the time she finds them they are inches long and seem to appear over night. Happens about once or twice a month. I had this twice in my life, but it's been a few years now. So weird. |
It's not necessarily a sign of aging. I discovered my first in my teens. On the bright side you only have one. |
Please. I have a beard. I had it lasered. It grew back. I wax and pluck. A lot. |
Same happened to me around 20ish+. And more will come over time, maybe at 38 I have 15 total. No biggie. Just tweeze them |
