Have you ever seen a remodel job so bad that all you can do is shake your head and wonder what the heck the owners were thinking? Without further ado, I present my nomination for DCUM's, "What the heck were they thinking?" -- the kitchen edition:

Behold, the walk-in closet, I mean kitchen!
Seriously, if the house is small and the floorplan bad, maybe that was their only option... And the cabinets and counters, while not my style, at least hold together. |
|
That's pretty bad. I've seen NYC kitchens with similar sf (or less) - but you don't cut off the front of the room...
|
| Ha ha I know which house that is and had the same thought about the kitchen! |
| What does the rest of the house look like? |
| Bad floorplan or not, that kitchen could've been significantly better if they'd just used lighter colors and not cut off the entry-way. I mean who puts cabinets and counter-tops that dark (and black appliances!) in a tiny room with no natural light whatsoever? |
| is that in a tiny apartment or a house around here? holy cow. |
Here you go... http://franklymls.com/FX7883087 |
| They should have just gone with the other pic of the kitchen; it looks much better. |
| can't believe someone would pay that high for 22042 |
this one is better and it sold, the whole house is narrow
|
Could it be 2nd kitchen for the inlaw suite in the basement? For that purpose, I think it's practical |
This looks like the house on Folin. I always chuckle when I drive by and see the sale sign in front...who in their right mind would buy something like this in Vienna. |
|
That first house is cute and has potential.
I think kitchens that small is why IKEA was invented. that tall skinny house is sort of frightening for some reason. |
| I kinda agree. It's sort of interesting how they stuck the kitchen in there! The second house is a sfh th. |
