Age group please? |
Tons of them at other id sessions. |
and team practices |
Kid also have high school game |
Pick one, here’s a hint not in HS so no game. |
| How’s the town hall meeting? |
Any more offer out or they are waiting after the second IS session? |
| Town hall OK. About 100 people there. Mclean was pretty open and transparent or so it seemed. The assistant executive director is terrible, he basically got booed off and sat down. Mclean confirmed the timeline and what ECNL told them, agreed that it is a terrible situation but said that there hands were tied--lots of good kids getting left out espeically in recruiting years but ECNL doesn't actually care about the kids. Boys coaching slate is a problem because lack of Mclean coaches who know those kids but they said those coaches chose not to join FVU. |
Sinking ship…. |
They said ECNL doesn't care about the kids? So why does MYS continue to be associated with ECNL? Oh, right... |
+1. That comment caught my attention too. You know any other ECNL club is the same, but it is a good reminder that these clubs will always do what is best for their business first |
| ECNL really came out as the villains here. Hope MYS considers alternatives down the road. Unfortunately, ECNL is still so coveted they have power. MLSNext and GA/NWSL may hopefully be alternatives down the line. I don’t think a lot of us will forget what ECNL did this year. |
| High School soccer is on a comeback because of total mismanagement by Clubs and Club Leagues. High Schools have struck prioritize HS soccer much the way clubs used to do. This makes kids want to go back to playing for HS teams. |
Not always true....this is all politics at this point. Some kids not necessarily top players have received offers over kids who are actual top players. $$$ is at hand and how much up the club and coaches ass you are. How much money did you donate to the club when signing up for an id session?? Always thought that feature was weird on the playmetrics..." Hey sign up for the id session here.....it is free but if you would like to donate to our club please feel free to do so, $10 or $500 anything is welcome" Such a joke. |
