Do U vote for the greater good?

Anonymous
My DH and I have this argument all the time. I vote for the candidate that I believe will do the best things for most people (Obama) vs. DH who will vote for McCain because he thinks he will do what's best for us (making over 250K). My husband is a little selfish, (just a little) and I fear that maybe alot of people in this area feel the way he does. If McCain wins, we are ALL in trouble - not just us in the US, but the entire world. I am so scared he'll win because he will appeal to the selfishniss in people. What do you all think?

I don't think it's so much about selfish vs greater good as about how you view selfish. If you have money, you spend it on things that are important to you. For lots of wealthy people, paying a few (thousand) bucks extra in taxes is a price they are willing to pay to protect RvW. If keeping the money is more important that keeping RvW (or whatever other issue is important to you), I would call it short-sighted rather than selfish.
