Hope Hicks did leave the WH abruptly and stayed out of the public eye for a while. Donovan was also seen with her in LA….

Are you talking about our WH/The Hill? That place has more "me too" stories than Hollywood. So many windlowless rooms in the WH. Dozens of college-aged women doing internships/entry-level work. I worked in WH at 26, you could not pay me to go back.

I mean Amal Clooney is almost twenty years younger, the DCUM ideal and is with george Clooney. Why is it so bewildering that these women would consider much older men. In fact that there aren’t that many rich handsome boys their own age. There’s always been a lack of qualified men vs women.

Honestly, knowing him when his kids were young, he was a pretty hands-on father. DS was on a sports team with his son and he drove his son to every practice and was at every game. He also brought the little brother. No nannies or anything. He was actually pretty nice, but like another mother said, didn’t seem like anything special looks-wise.

How long ago did you know him? How was he? Did you know anything about the affair/divorce? First person to say something nice about him, gives us hope for his kids at least.

9-10 years ago. He always came to games and there was some traveling, so the parents got to know each other well. Christy came only occasionally. He was attentive to his sons and was nice and really funny. He was also supportive of my DS and the players on the team. I liked him, and honestly was shocked when l saw the headlines about Hope Hicks, but we hadn’t seen him for years.

Yes, my DS was in middle school with his older son at St. Alban's. I'm the commenter that saw his eldest with his 5th child. Our kids are friends. His youngest child is 8 as I said earlier. There is no paramour etc. their grandmother/Donovan take care of the 5th. I don't want to mention if it's a boy or girl for privacy. The only woman he was with when the 5th was born was Hope Hicks.

It's a scary thought but maybe it's their child and that's why they are in no rush to get married? My DH saw Donovan at the WH/on the hill many times during Trump's presidency. He says Donovan was associated with very young staffers and it was widely known he was looking for a wife. He said Donovan was selective in choosing young Catholic women who in his words "can accompany me to events and are princess-like." He was stringent in his requirements & my DH said the young women he dated were respectable/religious/valued. When the DM articles released in 2020, Donovan denied dating Hope Hicks. He wasn't seen with her anywhere at the WH either.

Something big must have happened because it appears he is trying to wife up a good girl but Hope Hicks sudden engagement seems off. The marriage denial a day later was worse. Does anyone believe if Hope Hicks got engaged she wouldn't announce it publicly? I don't.

Amal is ugly and was not young when she got with Clooney. Clooney is also an A-list movie star. Some private wealth manager worm with a bunch of exes, kids and baggage is not pulling pretty Catholic 20-somethings. This is delusional. If he could do better, he'd do better. A 35 year old leftover, a bonafide trainwreck with a pattern of low rung exes, is the best he can do.
