Mon
Tues
Wed
Thurs
Fri
Sat
Sun

BTW I am outside of the US & have never seen anything other than these abbreviatons.

Someone said if Thurs has an 's' why doesn't Wed - b/c that is how Thursday is spelt! "Wedn" would be the equivalent!

Those of you using Weds-- how old are you? Is this how it is being taught in schools now?

Does anyone abbreviate Thursday as just H?

I did this at work once and people acted like I was batshit crazy.

That's because Thursday should be represented with an R in this scenario.

Exactly what I think too.
And I have never seen Weds, just Wed.

Weds

I have no idea why. I guess it’s what I was taught very early on in school.

Mon
Tues
Weds
Thurs
Fri
Sat
Sun

So now I’m wondering what the norm is. It looks as though every day that has an ‘s’ in the middle is one where I would use it in the abbreviation.

I use 3 letter abbreviations for days and months.

O I. If someone used Weds, I would wonder what wedding/ couple they were referring to. Use 3 letter for days!

Mon - Monday.
Tue or Tues - Tuesday.
Wed - Wednesday.

My college did this. So I'd not think differently, but no one else does. So I keep the 'H' for my own private notes and use Th for the small minded public.

Unfortunately, the next consonant in Thursday isn't H. TH is a digraph representation of an Old English letter.

What?
