What product to use on your hair before blowdrying?

Something for volume:

Moroccanoil Root Boost (my favorite)
Aveda Volumizing Tonic
Tigi Catwalk Root Boost
Any volume mousse (just a bit at the roots)

^Would add the volume product, not also use for shine/heat protection

I have a bunch I rotate through. Wella, Unite, Living Proof, K18, Amica, Morrocan Oil, and Olaplex. Depends on what I feel my hair needs that particular wash/blow out day. I also only wash and blow dry my hair 2-3x a week, per my stylist's rec. My hair has a lot of blonde/ashy highlights in it though.

I rotate through a few products, but have used Oribe Supershine Light Moisturizing Cream and Alfaparf Semi Di Lino for years. Neither weigh down my hair.

Olaplex #9 serum. Not sure what it does but I do like it. Some sort of protector

Drybar liquid glass. Amazing, it works. I do not like their heat-protect product bc it can only be used on dry hair (what?) and isn’t very effective.

I also love Alterna cc cream. I heard about it here. It is all purpose like a bb cream. You can use for leave in conditioning, pre-heat protection, or to smooth down dry hair. I love it.

Why do y’all revive a 10 year old thread like this? The best hair products are not going to be the same anymore.

I have long blonde 2b hair that is highlighted.

I use aveda nutriplenish leave in conditioner and then aveda be curly curl enhancer if I air dry. Sometimes, but very rarely, I’ll use the diffuser on my hair dryer (Dyson) and I’ll use these same products.

When I blow it straight I use Redken 25 on wet hair, comb it through, and dry with my head upside down until it is about 80% dry. Then I section and spray with Color Wow Dream Coat and dry each section, pulling it straight with a round brush.

Days between washes I work some argan oil onto the ends.

I assume it's intended for curling iron or straightener.

28 bucks for a tiny bottle but it lasts about 8 weeks and it's my "if I was stranded on a desert island" product!
I use before and after blow drying. Before for protection and taking away frizz...after for shine.

A lot of people like the argon oil stuff. I found it weighed my hair down, and didn't give me the shine Brilliance gives me. But u might try that first since it's cheap...it might work for you.

I have long, very thick hair prone to dryness.

Which one is it, PP? There seem to be quite a few different Aveda Brilliance options. Is it this?

Good luck getting an answer from that PP. That post was over a decade ago. The products probably aren't even the same anymore.

Why are we resurrecting threads from 2014?

If it bothers you so much that a thread was revived, why don't y'all take your but somewhere else to discuss y'all hair issues.

Y'all spend too much time on your hair, not happening.

I have the same long blonde 2b hair that is very fine. I have a large sample of the Color Wow Dream Coat but haven't tried it because I fear it would be to heavy and oily on my fine hair. Is that not the case?

Jeff explained this somewhere. It has to do with Google and it showing old threads.
