That said, I’m halfway in and really enjoying it! CD and MR are phenomenal actors and I love seeing them in anything, so seeing them together is fantastic.

Yeah, something looked off and I couldn't figure out what it is. I think he looks older than I do, which didn't seem right, so I even looked up his age and he's younger than I am. Hope he isn't sick or something.

Maybe it’s because he HASN’T had work done like everyone else. We’re not used to seeing actors age naturally.

Exactly.

I suppose they are doing this to build suspense and tension, and it works, but I literally turned the show off and came here to get someone to promise that Steve will be ok, otherwise I wasn't going to keep watching it. It's too much. For the tenderhearted, anyway. And those of us with tiny fluffy white dogs.

I just finished and Steve makes it through the show!! 😃😃

Thank you! I was trying to find this info. Steve is so adorable.

I'm past the halfway point and wow, they have really ramped up the stress. I need to do something else so I can fall asleep!

Yeah, last night I was watching episode two and the brick went through the window and she's walking around scared holding the little dog and I was like -- nope, can't keep watching this unless someone assures me that nothing bad happens to the dog.

There is a website for that! Doesthedogdie.com.

I watched it and, while I liked the performances, I thought it was a pretty mediocre series overall. Just grim and gross, with too many innocents harmed. Ooh many may have the "beast within," so insightful and edgy. /s

This made me lol because in even the first episode I'm like OK does she play all her roles like Homeland now

Brittany Snow has certainly grown very gracefully into a different kind of role from her teen comedy and pitch perfect years

She inhabits being a beautiful ~40 really well, she looks great without looking like she's gone to a ton of effort to keep looking like she did in previous decades

The title "The Beast in Me" also makes me wistful for the 2 seasons of "Wolf Like Me" ... that was such a great series

Exactly! It drove me nuts last night. I hope I don't regret watching this because just the scene of him devouring that chicken was enough to make me reevaluate this.

It's a master class in evil manipulation. How does CD not realize this?

She does and from that point it’s entirely predictable.

Apparently there is the possibility of a second season which … why?

I wish Claire would do a comedy or something. I’m sick of her crinkle face and lip tremoring. I’d like to see her smile for once.

I kind of like that actually. She moves somewhere else and finds a new adversary, her outlook is now a little bit different and more positive, new love interest...I'd watch with a good villain!

That chicken scene was a lot.
