This is 1000 pct wrong. |
OP: If you have never been able to sleep on a plane, try sleeping inside the plane. |
I could never sleep on a plane either until I got a neck pillow thing that is similar to the Trtl.
Even so, I just sleep for 2-3 hours at a time for a 15 hour or more flight. I watch a movie and then sleep again. I also found that even if you can't get into a deep sleep, even closing your eyes and quieting your brain is more refreshing than reading or watching movies for 15-19 hours straight. I also suggest doing your best not to stress if you can't fall asleep because as you know, it just makes it worse. |
Lie flat doesn't work for me because I'm a side sleeper and I snore/get sleep apnea when I true to sleep on my back. I can't sleep on my side on the blue flats, so it's pointless. I actually prefer the old business class with a solid recline.
I usually just accept I won't sleep but try to rest. Agree on audiobooks or podcasts. I sometimes listen to guided meditations. Eye mask, the neck pillow that wraps around your neck. Comfy sweats, cozy socks, my own blanket. |
Why can't you sleep on your side on a lie flat plane seat? I have done it with mostly good results. Padding not the best but it worked out. |
