Can’t lose last 15 lbs on mounjaro help?

Anonymous
I find that spending a few weeks eating only salmon or eggs for protein, with a lot of berries and green salads (any dressing, full fat) and unlimited veg, and sweet potato with olive oil when I want some carbs, tends to make me lose weight really fast and I don't feel hungry at all. I'm 46.

It takes a few days of this to reset, and then the hunger disappears and the food I am eating tastes really good and becomes what I crave.

Likely around 150-155, size 8.

And...do you think that this is a positive lifestyle for your grandma?

She doesn’t care what anyone else thinks. She’s chic, stylish, active, living her best and happiest life in her older years. Her happiness at her age trumps any feelings I have about potential side effects, though I hope she starts to lift weights in addition to her current walking regimen.

She doesn’t eat breakfast, sometimes only has nuts and an apple for lunch and for dinner, she eats one plate of food, usually low on carbs, never goes for seconds and no dessert, except a few bites on occasion. She complains about stomach issues but doesn’t attribute it to mounjaro and will never stop mounjaro. She loves being skinny at 70+ (size 0 or smaller). She does seem more frail though, having broken a bone recently with a fall.

Yes, you created an entire post about this already. We know you're jealous of Granny. Guess what? WE DON'T CARE.

Old people require far fewer calories bc they’re much more sedentary. Even without the shot, old people in general start eating much much less. But yes, eat fewer calories, lose more weight.

I’m in my 40s but PP’s grandma story hits. When I was taking those meds to lose weight, that is what I ate. No breakfast, under 500 cal snack for lunch, one plate of healthy dinner with lots of protein. Lost 60 lbs and am keeping it off by eating the same but let myself have some chocolate now too.

500 calorie snack?

Can you not read? “Under 500 cal”

NP. I can read it. It just doesn’t make much sense. You can eat a decent meal in 300-400 calories.
