These are not opposite or inconsistent thoughts, and you overstate your ire. You can simultaneously believe that noncitizen criminal should be deported (and it seems after serving a just sentence here is best to prevent return), and support lawful actions of authorities, and be concerned for victims of crime, while ALSO believing that our system demands all people be given due process and that authorities follow the law, because without those two things, our entire system fails. Words matter too, and you don't get to interpret their actions in a vacuum. |
And who exactly do you see "defending" drunk drivers? Which was the basis of the alleged "shock and disappointment." |
The system already fails when what are clearly economic migrants are abusing the political asylum rules—and certain political parties facilitate that abuse when they are in power. It undercuts our labor markets, strains resources and damages the social fabric. So you’re sort of in a catch-22, here. So many people find calls for the rule of law and due process to be nothing more than fig leafs for a backdoor political agenda. Remember, words matter, and you don’t get to interpret actions in a vacuum. Right? |
NP. Your continued use of "concentration camps" negates anything else you might have to say. You sound absurd. |
I’m the op. To the pp: there are no concentration camps; stop lying. or - post proof they exist (you can’t). So stop lying already! |
