Yes, and then you need to titrate up when you stop losing weight because the desire for food comes back.

According to any BMI calculator, 5ft 3in and 109 lbs is in the healthy range.

That is the exact height and weight of my 21-year old daughter. She is slim and healthy, as she has always been.

Sure, but OP is probably 20 years older.

Does BMI account for age?

I did lose muscle and I am in my mid 40s but at least I'm not fat anymore. At least I can move my body and fit into clothes again. Now I'm working on building muscle mass. I needed to trim the fat big time. You can rebuild muscle.

I'm 5'3" and I'm not considered under weight at 109. I'll be on this drug forever and I'm fine with that.

109 is borderline underweight for an adult who is 5’3”.

No it’s not. Go to any online BMI calculator and enter those numbers. It’s in the healthy range.

I cut my dose in half for a month, then half of that for a month, then moved to bi-weekly shots for 2 months, then one shot per month for 2 months - so a 6 month weaning phase. My weight fluctuates within a 4 pound range.

My husband went cold turkey because he had to skip a week for a scheduled medical procedure that was then delayed and suddenly it had been 6 weeks off. He gained back 10 pounds in about 2 months before he realized he really did have to work at the new lifestyle now that the shot didn’t do it for him.
