What is the fragrance I am smelling most frequently?

I’ve been noticing a really strong scent lately that is really unpleasant to me. I feel like it’s some variety of Ax but it also smells a little like some Dove products. It’s like a deodorant smell but mixed with gasoline.

Maybe one of the new whole body deodorants? I recently bought one to deal with the swampy DC summer, but I don’t like the scent.

This was over 10 years ago.

NP. And yet I smell it on people all the time. I think of it as “hotel smell”; a bunch of boutique hotels used it as their scent for a while.

Are you being serious? Why would you use chat gpt for something so stupid?

I swear, we are running full tilt towards dumbing ourselves down.

It's probably deodorant/antiperspirant from Salt and Stone, OP.

Or just plain old Secret.

Years ago I randomly purchased some Secret deodorant and everywhere I went I’d get compliments that I smelled so good! Probably no longer available.

Adults wear Sol de Janeiro? I thought only teens buy those - it's basically an updated version of the Bath & Body works "body splash" we moms used in middle school?

My daughter wears this and I can't stand it. Just awful.

Oh gosh, mine did too and I hated it and I'm not usually sensitive to scents.
Thankfully that phase passed.
I called it her "corpse flower" perfume.

This. We live in a condo and the elevator reeks of different perfumes in the mornings.

Sorry - doing too many dumb things at same time …

It’s on women I guess - I smell it on passing strangers & women I am in company of but not everyday friends & never say “you smell so nice. Watch ya wearing”?

Why not ask? I do it all the time and do it to men too. But heck, I'm genX who still believes in small talk.

This is like a family feud question. I thought for sure “urine” would be on the top 10 board, along with pot.

Everyone is switching to TRUMP fragrance, golden yellow toilet water for men and women.

It’s that Le Labo stuff. All the UMC women in my neighborhood wear it. Not sure why.

Totally - it’s not deodorant or fabric softener - it is a uniform fragrance worn by same jcrew types in their 50s.
