These incessant “low class” posts are so dumb.

Perhaps you should get adult friends then.

Frat boys displaying Bud Light cans is not the same thing as displaying $200-$5000 bottles of liquor.

if your inspiration is Dallas or Dynasty, go for it.

Oohhhh! Dallas was such a good program! Even loved it as a kid! JR was the boss!

People displaying $200-$5000 of liquor are on the far end of the pathetic scale. A discreet liquor cabinet exists for a reason. A table of bottles is very alcoholic 1980s. But if your inspiration is Dallas or Dynasty, go for it.

That was addressed already, to hide booze during prohibition or by certain protestant religious groups who prohibit drinking but still do it.

Are have ours in the butler’s pantry. Guess we are low class. Ok.

We keep the full bottles hidden to try to limit having them walk off. But the best used ones make for good candle holders.

It’s only low class if the butler isn’t wearing a tux.

I've seen very grand English houses owned by titled people where there is a large drinks table or tray prominently positioned with all the bottles and glasses laid out.

But what you can get away with in a palatial house you can't with a regular house.
