Not as bad as the lady who always brought seaweed snacks to ours. |
Our snacks are required to be individually wrapped now so no pre-cut fruits or vegetables. So far this season for my 4th grader’s team, people have brought clementines , Popcorners, Pirates booty , and those Simple mills cheese crackers and usually Body Armor drinks. |
My kid and his friends actually love those, but can’t say it ever would have occurred to me to take them as a post-game snack! |
My kid would destroy the seaweed snacks but I suspect he’s in the minority there. |
They are extremely salty/high sodium so a very odd and stinky choice after kids have been running around on a soccer field for an hour. |
My kids love these. I've never brought them to share at a game though. |
DP but no, we're as white as can be. |
My kid loves these too. |
Please don't give any of this trash. |
Hate the super junky stuff - why? I like the oranges or watermelon slices plus maybe some individual pop corner bags or similar? Or zbars/kind bars/luna bars? |
Mine too especially the teriyaki flavor. |
They aren’t all high in sodium at all, but even if they were, sodium can actually be beneficial after exercise. So you’re welcome to think it’s odd or stinky, but…. (And no, we’re not Asian either.) |
Seaweed snacks are hugely popular! I don't think there should be snacks at all at regular activities that are 2 hours or less, unless it's immediately after school, but if there are snacks, my kids and their friends would love seaweed or fruit. |
Thanks for this evenings entertainment, all. Super easy to spot the posters whose kids play on organized sports teams versus those who are just looking on at this cultural phenomenon in horror! |
We do assorted chips and Gatorade from Costco. But personally I would have loved to bring oranges. |
