Sounds like they gave out some offers already creating a second team for U16.

VYS will move an existing player down a team to make room for a similar player from outside the club on the top team.

That’s the same with any club.

This isn’t an issue for more than 1-2 players max and frankly it gives players who are younger to get some experience playing against older players. This is a positive rather than a negative.

What age group?

I have friend who's DD tried out yesterday. Was told she did fairly well, but unsure if she did well enough to unseat an existing player off Red or Black. Anyone now if some kids are leaving VYS from Red or Black?

Looked like 60-70 girls at 2012 tryouts last night. Has it been like this everywhere with large turnouts?

There were about 90 boys at the 2015 tryouts last night. I have no idea how a new kid not already on their roster would make enough of an impact to get their attention.

If there are enough good players, they might create a third team.

Vienna is a rec club, any serious players will go to a more established program. They advertise a european coaching staff but those guys don't care about the players and are always in and out of different jobs in Europe.

Perhaps in the past, but with MYS losing ECNL and how notorious they are with neglecting their bottom/white teams, many are looking to leave.

Same thought about 2014. Tons of kids out there. But some looked really slow and just not very good. There were a lot of coaches out there, so I would think they were able to at least figure out top half and bottom half and who to watch more closely in the next tryout.

Sounds like your DC was not offered a spot. They never advertised a European coaching staff lol. Throwing manure around...

Look at the coaching bios and their marketing. Mclean did not lose ECNL, their girls coaches are all still there.

Are VYS teams 13G ranked as Phoenix then Red then Black? Top to bottom?
