First of all, I can claim that eating sweets is ok, ONLY WHEN YOU EAT IT BEFORE NOON
This is due to the fact that our body digests food best and expends its stores of fat to about 2 p. m. After that, the positive fat burning functions decrease, so you can ONLY eat junk food until lunchtime. Please control your diet if you really want to lose weight. This is a VERY important factor that will kick-start your gradual weight loss. Next, you just have to become physically active - dance, swim, walk a lot or whatever, the main thing is to get your muscles toned. Start with 20-30 minutes of exercise a day. That will be enough, then you'll start to get involved and you'll even get a high from doing what you're doing. I would not recommend you to use weight loss pills, because basically after losing weight you will gain weight even more. So physical activity is a must have! |
Or get some ADHD medication. I think some people take Vyvanse for binge eating. Not really for you, I recommend a therapist. |
You are not at an “okay” BMI. You are smack in the middle of the normal range. I agree get a therapist or accept that you can binge and still be a very healthy normal weight! |
How does it work? Anyone here using it? |
+1 Consider what you’re trading off for those 10 pounds. |
Also, realize that the cravings will come back after you stop the drug. For some people, they come back worse than before. |
Prozac |
That sounds almost perfect |
+10000 I used to eat like you. Had intense sugar cravings in the afternoon. Handfuls of M&M's or chocolate chips in the afternoon and couldn't stop. Was eating appx 30-40 grams of protein a day (at 5'6 120lbs) Now eat 1g/body weight of protein and the cravings are gone. I eat a small sweet treat after dinner (like a yasso bar, something that I don't portion out, which makes it easy not to over do it) and I feel so much better. Try this before the drugs. You can do it. |
These medicines are being studied and prescribed for eating disorders. They have for helping my family member with an eating disorder |
Eat 30- 40 grams of protein at each meal |
Try Weight Watchers. It really does work and reframes your mind on how to eat. |
I actually have the same question. I just want to lose about 10 lbs. also 5'7, 150.
Would LOVE to lose from my face/breasts. I exercise, eat right, but am 57 and it's harder when one's older. |
Same same. 5’8 and 147 and would love to be 135 (or whatever weight gets rid of my gut that makes me look 15 weeks pregnant). It’s so difficult at this stage. I have to eat 1000-1200 cals to lose anything. If on ozempic, I would still be eating 1000-1200, but maybe it wouldn’t occupy my thoughts 24/7 like it does now. |
