Shrevewood Elem AAP vs. Lemon Road AAP

Can any parent who attended the Shrevewood open house / parent night report back on the third grade plan? Did they announce who the teachers would be?

Seems difficult to compare to LR without knowing who will be leading the third grade program.

That's not information you will get or is owed to you....unfortunately. Understandable why you'd want it but it's not owed. Further, Shrevewood has other fantastic teachers who are capable of delivering the AAP curriculum in a cluster model. I wouldn't be attached to ONE teacher for your decision. I'd base it more on whether you want to stay at your base school or not and if you think the cluster model will work for your child.

It's clear that the cluster model requires teachers who are able to differentiate instruction and reach multiple styles of learners and abilities within the same class. If the school promoting the cluster model is not able to tell parents who the teachers will be and what level of experience they have, if any, with differentiation -- then how can parents facing a decision know whether it will work or be a good fit for their kids?

If you are a parent at the school, you can contact the principal or AART to ask them this question.

It's not like the teacher who is leaving was an experienced teacher who had been there for years.
