When did you start estrogen supplements for IVF?

Just wondering what the standard is on this. My office waits until day of transfer to check blood work for estrogen levels, and then adds supplements if needed. I think the reason for this is that the stimms raise estrogen levels and they need to make sure they are not to high.

I have always felt like my estrogen levels drop pretty quickly and I am concerned that if this happens it could compromise things. Do most clinics wait, or do they automatically give them at a certain point?

I was instructed to start taking them the night of or the morning after egg retrieval, if I remember right. This was at SG. My estrogen was never checked again at this point. I was a bit concerned if my levels might get too high, but the clinic apparently was not. FWIW, I am now 17 weeks pregnant.
