I hate feeling/looking greasy on my face. Can you recommend a good facial sunscreen for me? Thx![u] |
Yes, I finally found a good one: Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Liquid Daily Sunblock. It's spf 70, works great, very lightweight, not at all greasy, doesn't cause breakouts. |
+1. I think it comes in different SPFs if you want something lighter. |
Do you still need a separate sunscreen if your foundation has an SPF value on it? |
Yes, it's very important to use extra sunscreen. First, most SPF in foundations don't provide coverage for both UVA and UVB rays. Second, to get adequate coverage, you'd have to cake your face in foundation. |
I just got it today so haven't tried it out yet but it sounds great - Peter Thomas Roth mineral powder SPF30! |
suffered from acne for years - even on two rounds of Accutane

Do you like spending money? Sunday Riley has a Cashmere SPF that's supposed to sink in and not look slimy... |
is this for everyday wear (incidental exposure, but mostly indoors), or for pool / beach / biking / gardening / outdoor endeavors?
If I'm going to be outside for a prolonged period of time and working up a sweat, I use Coppertone Sport in the blue tube. It is billed as a "dry lotion". Not greasy, doesn't run into my eyes, stays put. Doesn't make me break out. Otherwise, I get by with moisturizer with SPF (Oil of Olay sensitive skin or Cetaphil). Most of my makeup has SPF, but I don't rely on that. |
clarins -- its excellent, non-greasy and its a physical sunblock.

Sorry to resurrect this thread, but I had a question about this- I bought it online and it just arrived today. The bottle is so small! The directions say to use a few drops- do you feel like that's adequate coverage? How long does a bottle last you? Thanks! |
I really like Kiehl's Super Fluid UV Defense SPF 50+. It's the best thing I've tried, and works well under makeup. |
