We need a vacation! Where to go with 2 kids age 2 1/2 and 6 mo?

We are so in need of a vacation. I just need to book something to make it happen.

Where have you had success with 2 young children? By the time we get our but in gear, it will be Oct before we can actually get away - and we are thinking for 1 week.

For a budget -we don't want to break the bank - but have some $ to spend on this.

We rent a house in the mountains for a week each fall. A house means you have space for running around and separation for naps.

Franklyn D Resort in Jamaica. Great vacation nannies that will really give you a break. (We went when our kids were those ages) Not a 4**** resort, but clean and comfortable. A nice family vacation with some alone time for you and DH. Search the archives...it's been mentioned here before. The only problem is that you're still in hurricane season.
