We are travelling to the Carribbean in November. Has anyone sent ahead formula/baby food so as not to have to carry a lot of this with them? Are hotels generally receptive to this? It seems that it would make packing and travelling a lot easier, given how many things we'll need for baby...
If not, does anyone have other advice for packing, in terms of what to bring and what to leave home? DD will be 10 months at the time of travel. |
I have a friend who does this all the time - but not the caribbean. Call the front desk and ask how many days they will hold a package for you. Also, consider calliing ahead and asking if there is a grocery story nearby. This is what I have done - with great success. Just pack enough for the plane + one day and then buy everything else there. |
I have done this several times. The only time I had an issue was when I sent the package to Turks and Caicos because duty was put on it and the hotel could not accept te package until I was able to approve of the levy. Call your hotel and see what the process is because it seems that every country is different |
Thanks for the replies. We are going to Curacao, so the duty might be an issue...I wouldn't have thought of that. I will look into it! --OP |
