That is just dumb. The whole thing is decided on what the VA consitution says. End of story. The issue was what does election mean. No basis for the SCOTUS to look at this even if VA court was wrong. What the legislature says has nothing to do with it. The consitutional provision is there to limit the legislature. |
I’m with you, and feel similarly. It’s not only that they need voters like us, it’s also that we make up the bulk of who is funding their agendas most of which have direct negative impact on our daily life. |
This has nothing to do with any of the arguments related to 2020. |
sigh. . . The legislature only has the power given to it by the State Consitution. That's it. In this case the Consitution said legislature could not do what they did. |
That theory is not in play in this case. That theory does not mean that the legislature can do whatever it wants. |
Since Virginia has an SBE, it wouldn't matter if it did. The legislature would need to eliminate or replace the SBE and then redraw the maps as they see fit. |
Oh, you are one of the crazies that want SCOTUS to rule on when a state election starts and ends? That's an even more brain damaged lawsuit. Federal courts have no say in state elections. |
The theory is only not in play because the Democrats (and non-MAGA Republicans) think it's ridiculous. It is ridiculous for what it is worth. and Yes, it means exactly that. |
+1. If it wasn't clear by only a 3% margin, Virginia is a purple state. Stop trying to make it the next California. |
You are full of shit. |
