When did the BOE vote on this change and who gave public comment on the Action Item?

The board is being asked to approve the UMBC contract at the Nov. 20th meeting. $425K for 25 graduation ceremonies.

Damn. $425k for 25 graduation ceremonies is an amazing bargain.

Now add in cost of decorations, buses and meals for administrators and teachers. Let us know when you have the full cost.

What schools serves meals to administrators and teachers for graduation? Ours does not.

What decorations? Even if there are decorations, with the ceremonies all being in the same venue, we only need one set of decorations.

They typically hang school-specifc banners, etc. but these would be used regardless of which venue.

Then it's being kept from the teachers who are working during graduation. We have to work and are not fed any meals.

No meals on bus ride over to ceremony. Oh right that would be unsafe to eat on bus
