EDP usually releases its schedule in late August.
I wonder when MLSN2 will? Did MLSN previously release in July? We are seeing lots of clubs that say they have their MLSN2 schedules already. We have heard NOTHING from Bethesda. Our coach in previous years at Bethesda had already gotten in touch with us at this point and had a plan in place. This year: CRICKETS. Crickets from the coach!! Bubkiss, zilch, zippo. Lame! |
MLS part 2 is the same level of players as ECNL-RL, at least among the teenagers we know. |
In northern VA, this is accurate. And kids going to play on the new MLS next teams are very even with kids sticking with ECNL. |
We had two kids leave my son's RL team to go play for a club 40+ minutes away on the team below that club's MLSN B team (this club does not have an A team), that was a strange choice to me as that second team they joined usually lost to our club's B (NCSL) team. |
Nonsense The NAL teams are the 2nd teams at clubs with MLS Next They will be the MLS Next 2 teams and administered by NAL It's written right there on the MLS Next press release |
Clubs like Bethesda had ECNL for their boys 2nd team ECNL didn't like that they were 2nd fiddle to MLS Next They told all MLS Next clubs they can't have ECNL as 2nd team Clubs switched 2nd teams to NAL and other leagues around the country That means the former original ecnl team is now the MLS Next 2 team |
That’s not what that means. Clubs like Bethesda have MLSN, MLSN2, and NAL. That means NAL is still what was once ECNL. It’s Bethesda’s A3. |
Among the kids we know (3 tween/teen boys), the kids who played ECRL last year made MLS B teams. Some stayed, some switched. Some clubs whose top team was ECRL-switched that top team to MLS B Teams. Some clubs stuck with ECRL. Its the same players, its the same level, just different labels. |
What league did their top teams play in this past year? |
Maybe you should inform BSC that you have created their new teams tier system |
Last years Bethesda’s u13 played MLSN and NAL. This year they have a team in MLSN, moved a good amount of their NAL team up to MLSN2, and left some of those kids and a new cohort added to form their NAL team so effectively their 3rd string. |
Show us on the Bethesda website where they have at U13 and older, MLS Next, MLS Next 2 and NAL as 3 separate teams |
Its going to be called 'Academy Division' btw, as much as i prefer mlsn2 |
what a dumb name that communicates no information. |
I was rooting for MLS JV. |
