From my very limited experience with family members of that age, after diagnosis, facing the public would be out of the question

Not so fast. My mother has Stage IV pancreatic and has done very well on chemo and goes out in public all the time. She has lost all her hair, unlike Charles, and at her recent PET the chemo has shrunk all her tumors. Treatment is getting better all the time. Why does Charles still have a full head of hair?

Because that picture is probably from six months ago?

They specifically said it was taken 4/10 and named the photographer. They’re giving all the right info to keep clean from kp’s fumbles.

A friend in the UK had chemo after a whipple procedure for pancreatic cancer and it was a kind that didn't affect her hair. She's still living 7 years later with no evidence of cancer.

It probably wasn't chemo and was immunotherapy or radiation. But again we have no idea what he has or what his treatment is but it doesn't appear to be chemo becuase of the hair situation.

My friend just went through 5 rounds. She wore this ice pack thing on her head the whole time. It was $$$. It’s not that she’s vain but more that it was depressing to her to lose her hair too on top of everything else. Her hair is still thick and long so I must have worked.

+1. Also have a friend who did the ice pack procedure and kept her hair. It was fine and short but hair is important to self-esteem.

Unfortunately the ice pack treatment did not work for my sister.

I don’t feel badly for him at all. His mother never wanted him to be king. He’s lucky she didn’t pass it right to William.

I have heard the Queen never wanted Charles to be King.. Please provide actual evidence

The Queen blamed Charles for almost destroying the monarchy with his affair with Camila . The Queen unfairly was blamed for hating Diana when she ultimately blamed Charles for the dissolution of the marriage. She liked Diana and her family and that’s why Charles married her in the first place.

That's not evidence, lol.

Charles didn’t make her final years easier. Apparently, the Queen was informally giving Charles extra duties during the latter years of her life and one of those duties was to make sure Harry had a nicer house . The Queen understands living lavishly is part of the role, but Charles foolishly thought cutbacks would be better to fit the country’s mood. This led to huge blowback when Meghan misinterpreted the cutbacks via an American lens as a slight to her or race thing. In actuality, the Queen preferred Meghan to Kate actually based on initial reports due to her public speaking gigs and thought she’d be great for the kingdom. Hence, Oprah and all the blowback along with the disaster Prince Andrew was.

The Queen didn’t have any easy time in her latter years due to the dumbasses Charles and Andrew

The Queen knew Charles was vindictive, competitive, and ill prepared. Even in his cancer statement, he slighted Kensington Palace by saying he wanted to avoid mass speculation

He "slighted KP?" You really need to stop fangirling Kate and William, it's embarrassing.

Charles' instincts were absolutely right. Social media is pretty respectful about asking what kind of cancer he has (not all of social media, this is 2024 after all, but the vast majority of it). And now that we know Kate has cancer, social media is mostly respectful about that.

Charles' instinct to go back into the public eye is also sound. Sorry, but nobody believes William is reading binders of briefings.

KP could learn a few things from Charles' team.

No it was chemo. Not all chemo causes hair loss.

He looks pretty darn good for being "very unwell" in a situation that's "not good". He looks..... the same.

My thoughts too, and this is a guy who's undergoing chemo. He looks the same.

He was visiting a cancer center, BTW. In these pictures from the DM ( ) he's shaking several peoples' hands and exposing himself to germs, so he can't be that frail.
